About the Authors
Amelia
Amelia was interested in studying the Indian Freedom Struggle for her historical movement, and Suicides for her local movement. She had a lot of interest in the ways Indians lived their life and how it was different from her living styles. She was interested in studying suicides because she wanted to find ways she could help people that were feeling suicidal. She also wanted to see how she could make a difference in helping them change their mind of taking their life in their own hands.
Amelia Interviewed Esty Goodpseed, who is a woman from an organization called Suicide Watch. She came and talked about the effects of suicide, how people commit suicide, and other things involving the actions of suicides. Amelia compared how the Indian Freedom Struggle and Suicides are related to each other in ways people wouldn't ever think about.
Learning about both the Indian Freedom Struggle and Suicides, Amelia was very passionate about the two and she exclaimed, "People can learn valuable lessons from anything in life, and that to get something done, people need to have the power, strength, and will to do it."

Demaya was interested in studying the Indian Freedom Struggle for her historical movement and Raw Talent for her local movement. She wanted to see how Indians got their freedom appose to hers. She was interested in studying Raw Talent because she wanted to see how helping people benefits others. She also wanted to show other people about how hard is to change lives for people in a positive way.
Demaya interviewed Molly Raynor, co-founder of Raw Talent. She came with 2 other participants from Raw Talent and they talked about what Raw Talent is and how they help out kids/teens in Richmond, Ca show off their raw talents. Demaya found out that Raw Talent and The Indian Freedom Struggle had a lot of similarities so she compared them.
After learning a lot about The Indian Freedom Struggle and Raw Talent, Demaya says, "You can succeed in life with hard work, heart and faith."

Kyle took a great interest in studying the Indian freedom struggle for his Historical movement, and The Black Panthers for his Social movement. He wanted to study the Indian Freedom Struggle because he wanted to know more about the Indians and the injustices they went through. He wanted to study the Black Panthers because he wanted to know more about his culture and being African American.
Kyle Interviewed Kiilu Nyasha who is a woman who used to work for The Black Panthers. She talked about injustices and how she turned in a resume for a job, and it was torn up right in front of her because of the way she looked. After learning about the Indian Freedom Struggle and The Black Panthers, Kyle wanted to compare the two to see how they were similar to each other.

Blaze
Blaze enjoyed researching the History of the Indian Freedom Struggle for his historical movement and The Black Panthers for his local movement. He chose to study the Indian Freedom Struggle because he wanted to learn more about how non-violence can be a successful strategy. Blaze studied the Black Panthers because he wanted to learn the impact they had on how the US developed since the Civil Rights Movement.
He also participated in an Interview with Kiilu Nyasha. Kiilu is a former member of the Black Panther Party and continues to promote activism through her blogs and radio shows. In Blaze’s Comparison Essay, he compares these two movements and talks about the qualities, strategies and injustices that can be seen in both.
